History
Give Steel has existed for almost 50 years and, since its change of ownership in 2003, has been a rapidly growing, distinctive and modern company. Since the change of ownership the company has been thoroughly modernised and is now a leading steel producer with a highly technological manufacturing environment.
A new domicile with modern production facilities was built in Brande in 2007, and the number of employees has grown from 17 to more than 600 since the ownership change.
Give Steel is one of Denmark’s leading manufacturers of steel frames and is a modern export company that manufactures steel structures for customers throughout Northern Europe.

Science-Based Target initiativet (SBTi)
Give Steel’s commitment to this initiative means that we have now embarked upon a process whereby our company has to develop a concrete climate target in relation to the Paris Agreement within the next 24 months.
Give Steel’s CO2 reductions will mainly come from the following three areas: raw materials, energy and transport.
2022
Social Bottom Line
For the first time, Give Steel publishes financial statements with calculation of the social bottom line.
2021
GSY GREEN
Give Steel launches GSY Green, made of 98% recycled steel.
2020
EPD
Give Steel publishes its first EPD.
2019
European Steel Award
K.B. Hallen in Copenhagen, winner of European Steel Award 2019, opens engineering offices in Aarhus and sets a turnover record of DKK 475 million.
The group now has 350 employees at four sites in three countries.
2018
New name
Company renamed Give Steel as part of an internationalisation process.
2015
Employee number 200
Give Stålspaer recruits its 200th employee.
2013
10th anniversary and Gazelle award
The factory celebrates its 10th anniversary and is proclaimed as Børsen’s Gazelle company for growth.
2012
Poland
Give Stålspaer opens a division in Poland.
2010
Germany
Give Stålspaer opens offices in Germany.
2009
Bigger production
Production facilities are extended to 19,000 m2 indoors and the first welding robots are installed. Give Stålspaer now employs 70 workers.
2008
New production hall
A new production hall doubles capacity.
Give Stålspaer is announced as a Børsen Gazelle.
2007
Production in Brande
Production commences in Brande, Denmark. Certification for the German market is obtained in August.
2006
Project Brande commences
Construction work commences on a new 6,000 m2 factory in neighbouring Brande. 27 employees now have a new place of work.
2003
Change of ownership
Teil Bechmann and Torben Larsen take over ownership of the company with seven employees and a turnover the following year of DKK 17 million. At the same time they commence a thorough modernisation of the company.
