Company Car Policy

General rules for all company cars

When a company car is handed over, it is a requirement that the employee holds a driving licence. The employee must be able to present a valid driving licence upon request from their manager or HR. The employee is obliged to immediately inform their line manager if their driving licence is revoked.

Conduct in traffic

Use of company cars requires proper and considerate behaviour, as the vehicle represents the company externally.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted in company cars, and any violation will result in the vehicle being cleaned at the employee’s expense.

Compliance with traffic law and liability

The employee is obliged to comply with traffic laws and is personally liable for any fines, parking charges, or compensation claims. In cases of reckless driving or similar offences, the employee is liable for all associated costs, including confiscation of the company car. Such costs may be deducted from salary payments to the fullest extent possible. By signing, the employee accepts that such deductions may be made.

Once the company car has been issued to the employee, the employee is responsible in all circumstances, even if the vehicle has been handed over to others. In the event of damage where the user can be held liable due to alcohol, medication, or other intoxicating substances, all related costs will be charged to the user.

BroBizz and number plate scanner

A BroBizz and number plate scanner may be requested by contacting lfn@givesteel.com if there are business-related errands on the other side of the Great Belt. These must not be used for private purposes and must be returned upon termination of employment.

The employee is responsible for ensuring that the vehicle is kept clean and is regularly serviced in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and agreed service intervals, as agreed with Bjarne Larsen.

In the event of accidents, damage, or theft, the employee must immediately inform their line manager.

Termination of employment

Upon termination of employment, the car must be returned in a clean condition together with keys, fuel cards, and any equipment.

Any damage, missing items, or misuse will be deducted from the final salary payment to the fullest extent possible.

Special rules for yellow plate vehicles

The vehicle is made available to employees who require transport in connection with the performance of their work duties (business use).

The vehicle may only be used for business purposes and remains the property of the company. Breach of this may have tax and employment law consequences for the employee. To the extent the company incurs a loss as a result of unauthorised private use, the employee is liable for such loss. The vehicle may only be driven by the employee to whom it has been assigned. It is not permitted to lend the vehicle to third parties or allow third parties to drive it.

The company covers fuel, servicing, and repair costs in connection with business use. The fuel card issued may only be used for the vehicle and must not be used to purchase items not related to the operation of the vehicle, such as screen wash or similar.

Company cars (white plate vehicles)

The vehicle is made available for both business and private use.

Private use is taxed in accordance with applicable tax legislation on company cars.

The vehicle may be driven by the employee, their spouse/cohabiting partner, and children living at home with a valid driving licence.

The vehicle may not be rented out, lent to third parties, or used for business transport for anyone other than the company.

The company covers fuel, servicing, and repair costs in connection with both business and private driving within Denmark and abroad.

Fuel costs incurred abroad for private use will be covered by the employee and deducted via payroll. The deduction will take place as soon as the company has received the necessary information from fuel providers.

If purchases are made using the company fuel card, the company will ensure that the amount is deducted from the taxable value of the company car (petrol/diesel/electric). The fuel card may only be used for the vehicle and must not be used to purchase items not related to vehicle operation, such as screen wash or similar.

This company car policy applies to all agreements from 16 March 2026.
