Dokk1 has it all: 17-metre eaves, large spans, unusual angles, long trusses, and striking end sections. As a subcontractor to NCC, Give Steel supplied a total of 1,300 tonnes of steel for the building’s top floor and underground car park at the docks in Aarhus.

The building’s façades are angled in multiple directions, making the construction technically complex. The most challenging aspect of the project, however, was the highly demanding detailed design work. The steel structure was designed by Give Steel using Tekla and stands as a strong example of a project in which the company drew on a broad cross-section of its expertise.

Give Steel carried out the work in close and efficient collaboration with NCC, Alectia engineering consultants, and façade contractor Kai Andersen.
