The Social Bottom Line
Give Steel works on the basis of our purpose; that “we want to make a difference to people’s lives”. It is our ambition to give young people who have been sidelined by the labour market a chance and a qualification. We analyse, measure and report our efforts in this regard every year.
This social contribution is one of the tracks of Give Steel’s triple track sustainability strategy, which addresses climate impact, social responsibility and documentation.
Social responsibility makes a difference to people’s lives
Through our focus on social responsibility, we train young people to give them a meaningful life with professional skills, pride and self-respect. Our efforts help to reduce the number of young people on social benefits and ensure them a good working life with social interactions and meaningful work. This not only creates value for the person impacted, but also for the municipality, the region and the Danish state, which will save the money it would otherwise have to spend on passive state benefits.
